At the end of the course the students will be able to:

CO78: Basic understanding of the physiological mechanisms of plants.

CO79:  Acquire a general knowledge of the physical, chemical properties and metabolism of carbohydrates and lipids in living system.

CO80: Apply basic knowledge of biomolecules such as carbohydrates, lipids, protein, nucleic acid and enzymes and physiological functions for entrepreneurial development.

CO81:  Plan the experiments efficiently keeping in view the fundamental biochemical principles of enzymes in living system.

  • Demonstration of phemomenon of osmosis by potato osmoscope.

  • Measurement of the rate of transpiration using potometers.
