DISSERTATION

CO126: Formulate research questions and hypothesis, analyze research data and develop advanced

research skills encompassing the construction of research tools and conducting experiments for

solving complex problems.

CO127: Execute computer programs: statistical packages, spreadsheets, text editors, to perform

calculations and describe results from empirical studies.

CO128: Develop effective writing and presentation skills to communicate data and conclusions from research using

adequate indicators, tables and graphs.

CO129: Compose research papers from the findings of the dissertation work.

Approach in Teaching

Each student is to undertake a research study and prepare an extensive report under the guidance of any one of the faculty members. The practical work is to be conducted this semester and the bound form of the Dissertation Thesis has to be submitted for the partial fulfillment of the award of B.Sc. Research in Environmental Science. The student shall have to give a PowerPoint presentation of the work done for the semester-end evaluation. The student is also expected to write a research paper on the work done in the dissertation and get it published in a research journal
