A field trip to Jhalana Nature Park Jaipur
A field trip to Jhalana Nature Park Jaipur has been organised on 3rd March 2016 along with 61 students (UG & PG), accompanied by two faculty member Dr. Shilpi Rijhwani & Dr. Reenu Agarwal and two resource persons form state forest department. Jhalana Nature Park is commonly known as Nahargarh Biological Park, which is situated in the Nahargarh region. The Aravalli Mountain Range is located nearby and surrounds the area with thick forest, which is home to varied flora and fauna. Jhalana Nature Park is situated next to the Nahargarh Fort and covers an area of about 7.2 sq. km. Jhalana Nature Park Jaipur is a home of wild life and birds that offers the natural treasure to the visitors. It was a great experience for all students to learn and observe the different species of plants, birds and animals that shows the diversity of natural world and its resources. This is a botanical garden that preserves the nature and species of plants. It consists of sandstone and quartzite rocks and the plants are naturally represents the stifling dry deciduous and humid bristle forests. The park is a plentiful resource of wild life, which consists of different species of reptiles, tigers, leopard, monkeys and deer. Jhalana Nature Park Jaipur also offers natural ambiance to a great variety of bird flock. During this field trip students really had the opportunity to see diverse flora and fauna and learn about them in a more realistic way.
