The Department of Botany held an orientation program designed to provide an overview of teaching, learning, and assessment within the discipline. The session was structured to be interactive and engaging for the students. The session commenced with a comprehensive presentation covering all aspects of teaching, learning, and assessment in the Botany discipline. Following the presentation, the students participated in a quiz designed to reinforce their understanding of the material presented. Several games were organized by students of M.Sc. Semester III and Ph.D. Scholars to further engage attendees and facilitate a more dynamic learning experience. Students were encouraged to ask questions and address any doubts they might have had about the program or their studies. At the end of the orientation, feedback was collected from the students to assess the effectiveness of the session and to gather suggestions for improvement.
The orientation program successfully introduced the students to key aspects of their academic journey in Botany and fostered an interactive and supportive learning environment. The feedback received will be used to enhance future orientations and ensure that student needs are effectively met.
