SYNOPSIS
This course will enable the students to
- Understand and obtain practical experience of the research process and research skills required to undertake a supervised research project/dissertation.
- Train students in scientific writing with emphasis on research problems, hypotheses, literature review and research designs.

Synopsis |
CO91: Formulate research questions and hypothesis, analyze research data and develop advanced research skills encompassing the construction of research tools and conducting experiments for solving complex problems. CO92: Execute computer programs: statistical packages, spreadsheets, text editors, to perform calculations and describe results from empirical studies. CO93: Develop effective writing skills to communicate data and conclusions from research using adequate indicators, tables and graphs. CO94: Compose research papers from the findings of the dissertation work. CO95: Contribute effectively in course-specific interaction. |

Each student is required to prepare a concise document summarizing the entire research plan for the dissertation to be taken up in the next semester. This will equip the students with the essential skills and knowledge needed to craft a comprehensive and compelling synopsis for their upcoming dissertation. Students are required to articulate their research objectives, outline their methodological approach, and contextualize their study within relevant literature.
