Workshop on organic farming

The Department of Botany organized a workshop on Organic Farming for undergraduate and postgraduate students. The resource person, Ms. Rakhee Chowdhary,  Founder Rakhee’s Organics and Sustainability Coach, briefed the students about the significance of organic farming. This workshop helped the faculty members and the students to understand and conceptualize the concept of organic farming. It enabled them to appreciate the technique growing food in a novel way.

 

The following topics were covered in the workshop.

 

1.     Seed Ball Making and the Importance of Seed Balls

2.     Organic Farming..Grow your own food (Green Skill Building)

3.     Home Composting

4.     Making of Amrut Jal ( Bio-Fertilizer)

 

It was a learning and interactive session for students where ma’am answered to all the queries put up by the students to their full satisfaction.
