GREENATHON 2017-guest lecture

A guest lecture on "Eco-restoration of Mansagar Lake"was organized by the Department of Botany, The IIS University on October, 6th, 2017. It was delivered by Dr. K.P. Sharma Emeritus Professor, Dept. of Botany, University of Rajasthan, Jaipur.

Till a few years back,the water body surrounding Jal Mahal was heavily polluteddue to efflux of  domestic waste and other pollutants. The water body was reconstructed by the process of bio-remediation and bio-augmentation. This recreated an aesthetically done Ecosystem and restorated one of the most promising heritage sites of Jaipur.  The students were very inspired by his work and learned about  many new remediation  technologies.
